Friday Favorites

 It's Friday and also the day before my husband's birthday! We are so excited for the weekend of birthday cake and brass spray painting. I know, I know, the two don't go together but as we celebrate another year I'm going to be turning a few pieces that I have lying around into a fun vibrant brass finish...

I saw this fun DIY in the Young House Love book and since I have a few or a bunch of Mason Jars this would be a fun and quick project to do....

Small updates to the outdoors

Summer is drawing near and we love to spend the time outdoors whether sitting and drinking coffee at the table while enjoying a magazine in the morning, or grilling some steaks, watching Blake run around, or sitting around the fire pit with a glass of red wine.

 

We mostly live outdoors in the Summer Months and especially when Florida gets cool weather.

 

I made just a few small updates to the backyard by adding curtain rods and white drapery.. I prefer the white drapery over printed drapery just because I love the cool clean crisp look of white and it contrasts beautiful with the greenery

 

 

I stopped by Home Depot and purchased a Fern for the corner area of the loggia. We are happy with the small changes and we have a few more updates to make...

Project Mirror almost Done

I am gearing near the end of my Mirror Project that I posted about here. My poor burned fingers will thank me once its all over...

I should be done by the weekend. This is the mirror that I am replicating from Ballard Designs unfortunately it has been discontinued. Keep your fingers crossed for me that it comes out perfect. I think my husband may be tired of seeing shims everywhere in the garage

I was able to get the play by play from Thrify Décor Chic on this DIY project.

I am really looking forward to having the empty space filled.
